Terms & Conditions

Agreement

Unless a prior written agreement exists, these Terms & Conditions apply to all The First Class Driver transportation services. By booking through any channel — phone, website, text, or third party — you make an offer to reserve at the listed price. A binding contract is formed in Alaska when The First Class Driver accepts the offer and sends an email confirmation.

Please review your confirmation carefully and notify us of any corrections. Reservations are paid in full at the time of booking; we reserve the right to cancel if payment is not received. Charges are billed to the responsible party's card unless direct-bill arrangements are made. Rates, charges, and terms are subject to change without notice.

Fees automatically applied

Chauffeur gratuity of 18% is automatically included. A 3% credit card processing fee applies, and applicable taxes are added on transfers originating outside the Municipality of Anchorage. These apply to airport transfers, hourly charters, and mileage-based reservations as applicable.

Additional fees may apply by itinerary: a 20% holiday premium (Easter, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving) or 25% on peak holidays (New Year's, Christmas, July 4); plus airport fees, parking, tolls, permitting, event fees, and requested add-ons such as a personal meet-and-greet or cargo trailer. We are available 24/7 with no after-hours surcharge.

Cancellations & changes

Reservations canceled within 10 days of service are non-refundable; the same policy applies to all transfers. Prom reservations are non-refundable. Cancellation terms may vary with local conditions, events, vehicle type, and market area.

Time changes made with less than the required notice may incur additional charges (the original time block plus the new one). No-shows are charged the entire booking amount.

Minimums & extensions

One-hour minimum on airport and train transfers; four-hour minimum on hourly charters. Hourly service suits meetings, roadshows, events, and evenings out.

Extensions beyond the agreed time must be paid before they begin and are subject to approval. Early dismissals are non-refundable for unused hours. Multi-day trips requiring an overnight add a $75/day chauffeur per diem plus lodging.

Weather, excursion delays & assignment extensions

If transportation services are delayed or rescheduled due to a Force Majeure Event after the chauffeur has been dispatched or has arrived at the scheduled pickup location, the Client shall remain responsible for all services performed to that point, together with any additional costs reasonably incurred by the Company to continue or reschedule the service, including but not limited to chauffeur availability, overnight lodging, meals, parking, tolls, and revised routing.

Whenever reasonably practicable, the Company will provide the Client with a revised itinerary and pricing for approval prior to continuing the service. Alaska weather, cruise schedules, rail service, and excursions can all affect transportation plans beyond anyone's control.

Safety

Our chauffeurs follow a safety-pause protocol and may pause to check surroundings, team, equipment, and passenger safety. Vehicles cannot be loaded beyond seating capacity, and seat belts are required by law.

We reserve the right to substitute a scheduled vehicle for a safety or mechanical concern; passengers are notified promptly and a comparable replacement is dispatched. Passenger safety always comes first.

Conduct & property

Illegal drugs and underage alcohol consumption are prohibited. The responsible party is liable for fines or damage caused by their party, and we may end a trip without refund for misconduct. We take no liability for articles left behind, lost, or stolen.

Smoking of any kind is prohibited and carries a $100 fine per incident. Glassware lost or broken is $30 per item; extraordinary cleaning may be charged at $100 or more.

Events & venues

Special events, proms, and peak periods are subject to dynamic pricing and higher hourly minimums. Some venues — such as Sullivan Arena, the Alaska Performing Arts Center, and the UAA Sports Center — may carry an additional special-destination charge. For major events and concerts we recommend hourly charter to guarantee availability afterward.

Optional services

Meet & Greet is always an optional add-on: standard airport pickups occur at the commercial passenger pickup area immediately outside baggage claim unless Meet & Greet service has been requested, in which case we meet you inside the terminal. A personal meet-and-greet may incur an additional charge. An on-site transportation coordinator is available for conferences and large group movements at $65 per hour (four-hour minimum). Infant and toddler child seats are available on request.
